Things to do in Phoenix, AZ - Watch an AZ Cardinals game
The Arizona Cardinals are the Phoenix area's favorite football team. The new stadium is a 450 million dollar masterpiece, and is an awesome place to watch a game if you're looking for things to do in Phoenix, AZ. The University of Phoenix Stadium has a retractable field contained in a single tray that ways around 17 million pounds. If you're looking for things to do in Phoenix, watching one of the Cardinal's games is an option worth adding to your list. Tickets start at 25.00, but can go up to 400.00 or more depending on the seats you want. Still, some of the smartest fans will find a way to turn a 2-3 hour game into an exciting all day event. In my hometown, we were born tailgateing. We would get free tickets to a minor league baseball game (that would normally only cost about 5 bucks anyhow) and bring out the corn hole, ladder ball and mini-grills for hours of pre-game fun. The AZ Cardinals are a great team to watch, and if you're looking for a fun way to spend a Sunday in Phoenix, AZ, get out there early and bring your friends!

Things to do in Phoenix, AZ - Watch a Phoenix Coyote's Hockey Game
What better way to cool off in Phoenix than to enjoy an evening watching an Icy Sport!?! One of my first jobs was selling "Cinnamon glazed almonds, pecans, peanuts, and cashews" at a minor league hockey arena in the south. Since then, I've been a girl who's addicted to all sports where a first time onlooker would assume that the goal of the game is to make the other team/person bleed. I have a sickness, I know. Still, if you're going to watch grown men beat each other until the protection goes flying... why not watch it on ice. Did you know that blood bounces on ice? (I'm not sure if that's actually true or not, but I really believe it.) I hope my blog of things to do in Phoenix, AZ doesn't contribute to an increase in violence in sports. So, I'll give you all of the other reasons that watching hockey is an awesome thing to do in Phoenix, AZ. 1) Tickets are relatively cheap compared to other sports 2) You have an awesome excuse to buy the cheapest tickets available... they give you the best view in hockey! 3) If you're a guy on a date, you'll look like quite a gentleman compared to all of the men on the ice with anger/abuse issues 4) You can use it to teach your children not to hit each other... the bad players have to sit in time-out 5) its generally an awesome and fun thing to do if you're in the Phoenix, AZ area.

Things to do in Phoenix, AZ - Play Golf, Putt-Putt or Go to a Driving Range
I have never played golf! I've not once stepped out on a green, and I am pretty sure if I tried I'd be asked to leave for talking too much and too loud. Still, I love going to the driving range. I may not have the attention span for 18 holes of golf (or 9), but the driving range is always one of my favorite places to go and relieve a little stress when I'm looking for things to do in Phoenix, AZ. I can't always hit it straight, and I can't always hit it far... shoot, I can't always hit it. Even so, I love going out and giving it a try. When you're at the driving range, you can't lose. If you hit it hard once out of every 10 tries, you can leave feeling good about yourself... even if you have a slice that takes it further away from the hole than when you started. If you've got less energy and more time, try a round of golf with 3 of your friends. Arizona is full of great places to play, so if you're looking for things to do in Phoenix, AZ this is always a fun option!

Things to do in Phoenix, AZ - Play Laser Tag
Laser tag is one of my favorite games, and a guilty pleasure since I'm a 28 year old woman who secretly never grew up. If we're honest, the TV Series Alias gave us all CIA fever, and we all secretly want to dress up in black clothes and snoop around as we shoot each other with lasers. All of the black lights and fluorescent paint just add to our adventure as we try to take out the other adults, and get a reality check from the 12 year old that always wins.
