The Heart of the Ship
The inside of the Mariner of the Seas is pretty much identical to the Navigator of the Seas, which also has the open Royal Promenade in the center of the ship. Mariner was built in 2003 and is 1,020 ft. long and 158 ft. wide. One thing about Royal Caribbean ships is that they build their ships wider than other cruise lines.
Like the Navigator, the eye-catcher of the Mariner is also the heart of the ship, which is the Royal Promenade. There's a lot that goes on in this area of the ship. There are bars, restaurants, shopping, and entertainment that happens every day of your cruise in the Royal Promenade.
Barnacle & Barrel English Pub
The Barnacle & Barrel bar is an English Pub, located on Deck 5 in the Royal Promenade of the Mariner of the Seas. It's on the port side of the ship, between the shops and Playmakers Bar.
This English Pub has many different types of beer to choose from. There are lagers, ales, and other beers from around the world on a menu that is sure to please. It also has cocktails. This pub is a perfect place to listen to music while you relax and have a drink.
The Bamboo Room
The Bamboo Room on the Mariner of the Seas is a Tiki-themed bar that has specialty and classic cocktails, along with Polynesian appetizers. The Bamboo Room also serves Hawaiian BBQ Pulled-Pork Sliders for the price of 3 for $7, or 2 for $5. They also have Asian Noodle Salad, served with or without chicken, or tuna. If neither of those suits your fancy, you might want to try the Tahitian Coconut Crab Bruschetta or some Ahi Tuna Poke in miniature wonton cups.
The Bamboo Room is where you'll find the drink known as the "Royal Zombie," which is very popular on Royal Caribbean ships.
Playmakers Sports Bar and Arcade
Playmakers is a sports bar located on Deck 5 of the Royal Promenade on Mariner of the Seas. It's known for its buffalo chicken wings and drinks. It has flat-screen televisions around the room, which allows you to watch your favorite sports teams.
It's located past Barnacle & Barrel on the port side of the ship. It has tables and seats outside of the bar to allow you to people watch while you drink your choice of cocktails or beers. You can also try your luck at several of the arcade games inside or shoot a game of pool.

This gives a great insight into the bars and pubs on board and is very well-illustrated.
