Traveler Shares the 5 Best Foods on His 'Virgin Voyages' Cruise
It's only been a year since Virgin Voyages cruises have been sailing out of the United States, but from everything we've seen before, they seem seriously impressive. Everything from the state rooms to the activities to the decks themselves is beautiful. As if we weren't already tempted enough to book a cruise, we now have one more reason to add to the list: The food.
After traveler @theshayspence recently cruised on the Scarlet Lady, he shared the best foods he ate during his sailing. Even just watching this video is making us hungry!
His favorite restaurant on the ship was Dunbae, the Korean BBQ offering, where he enjoyed the kimchi fried rice. Even the grab and go options on the ship were good, including the sushi and poké bowls, which he called "fresh and filling."
When the ship docked in Bimini, he visited Virgin's private club and ate there, too — that rum cake looks absolutely divine!
Back on board, he also enjoyed the ship's Italian restaurant, which offered the unique option of table side affogato, where you can choose from multiple gelato and topping options. And if you like to eat plant-based meals, you're going to love Razzle Dazzle, where he ate rainbow churros for dessert. OMG!
One of the most important things to highlight is the fact that this food is all included with the cruise and doesn't come with an extra cost, which isn't necessarily the case when it comes to signature dining experiences on other cruise lines.
Needless to say, commenters were impressed, especially those who have had less than stellar dining experiences with other cruise lines. "Man, this food blows all other cruises out of the water," one person wrote.
Adding Virgin Voyages to our travel bucket list. Those rainbow churros sold us!
