Man's Unique Way of Testing Uber's 'Pet-Friendly' Policy Is Just Too Good

If you ever need a ride somewhere but you've got a (non-service animal) dog or cat along with you, you can always choose Uber Pet. For a slightly higher fee, travelers can request a pet-friendly Uber option that can accomodate both them and a furry friend. That said, there are no official breed or size restrictions for Uber Pet... so some riders want to see how far that pet-friendly policy goes.

Zac Alsop of the TikTok account @thezacandjayshow decided he'd test this policy out himself. How, you ask? Well...

Ok, honestly, this left us with more questions than answers, the biggest one being... how in the world did they get a penguin in the first place? "Borrowed it from the London Zoo," said Zac in the comments. Hmm... borrowed, or "borrowed"? Considering that these guys aren't in jail right now, it must all be on the up-and-up... but still, we would have liked to have been a fly on the wall when that arrangement was made!

As for the driver himself, his accepting, if bemused, nature, had everyone in stitches. "The 'yeah yeah yeah'- he just accepted it,"  remarked @adynch. "Why do I feel that's not the first penguin he's had in his car," laughed @anyonewannabuyaloomband. Most amusing was how shocked the driver was to discover the penguin had a little penguin spouse back home at the zoo. "Man's fine with a penguin, but a married one's a lil too far," chuckled @bunniaster.

Zac's silly stunt did prove one thing, though- that pet-friendly policy can go pretty far, as long as the driver is game. This particular driver was fine with the penguin, if understandably confused. However, not every driver may be as welcoming of an animal that's not a cat or dog. So please, in your day-to-day life, maybe keep the exotic animals out of the Uber whenever possible!
