Secret 'Tucked Away' Hidden Spot at Disney's Magic Kingdom Is the Perfect Place to Unwind

It's not nearly as crowded!

Disney World can certainly be an overwhelming place, even if you're someone who. normally handles crowds like a champ. Even on days that aren't super crowded, there are still a lot of people there, a lot of noise, and a lot of activity going on... and when that sun is out, that heat can really push you over the top. Trust me, I've been there (more than once!). Finding a low key, shaded area of the park to relax and regroup is key to surviving those moments if you're not ready to head back to the hotel just yet, but they can definitely be hard to come by.

One Disney expert is sharing their favorite hidden area to relax, and surprisingly, it's tucked away in one of the busiest parts of the park! I don't know how more people haven't discovered it yet.

As @escapetothemagic showed in this video posted on Wednesday, May 22, this hidden spot is located on Main Street, USA in the Magic Kingdom — yes, really. Everyone has to walk by this little side street as they enter the park and walk toward Cinderella Castle, but so few people actually know this is here.

All you have to do is follow the walkway in the alley right next to the Crystal Arts store, you'll find a quiet little area with tables, chairs, and even a shaded area with benches for you to relax in... and it's almost never crowded.

Most of the time I've hung out back here, it's actually been deserted — we were the only people there! It's a great place to go with a cold drink (for me, it's an iced coffee from Starbucks around the corner), catch your breath, and plan your next move for the day.

More Quiet Areas at Magic Kingdom

If you're needing more quiet at Magic Kingdom, don't worry! There are plenty of other options.

Over in Frontierland, take the raft to Tom Sawyer Island. Many people don't make it over there during the day, which means it's usually pretty quiet. There's a porch-like area with rocking chairs where you can sit in the shade, and you can even watch the parade go by if you happen to be there at the right time.

There's also a quiet walkway between Storybook Circus (where Dumbo is) and Tomorrowland. Most people don't even know it's there, but there are benches and it's another great place to regroup.

And of course, there's never any shame in going back to the hotel for a nap (or a dip in the pool) during the hottest part of the day and coming back at night. A Disney World vacation can be exhausting, and your feet will thank you!
