Hikers Climb 'Stairway to Heaven' in Austria in Video That Makes Our Palms Sweat

This isn't something novice climbers want to attempt.

Like with virtually any sport or activity, hiking and climbing come with all kinds of challenges, but this is one that we aren't sure we'd be willing to try!

TikTok user @tikitube recently shared a video of a staircase in Austria that is blowing our minds a bit. Called the "Stairway to Heaven," it is 43 meters long and though climbers can clip in to the wires on the sides of the staircase, it does sway while you climb.

The view is obviously incredible, but is it worth it? You'll have to watch to decide:

Considering how amazing/terrifying this staircase is, it's no surprise that this video has gone viral — or that people can't help but share their feelings in the comments.

"In English this is pronounced 'nope,'" one person joked, while another added, "sometimes staying on your sofa is the wisest choice you’ve ever made."

One commenter even added that those who make it to the top will then have to hike down all that way. Yep, that sounds exhausting!

This looks like an unforgettable experience for any climbing enthusiast, but if you're afraid of heights, we can't say we blame you if you'd pass on this. There are plenty of other breathtaking sights to see in Austria and the rest of the world — and many of them are much closer to the ground.
