Vegas Local Reveals Massive Flaw in 'The Sphere' Most People Don't Know About
Since U2 kicked off their more than 30 concert run at the brand new Las Vegas Sphere earlier this fall, the new, totally advanced venue has been making headlines nonstop — and for good reason. This is an incredible venue unlike any other, offering a fully immersive concert experience you just can't get anywhere else (not to mention how otherworldly the Sphere looks from the outside). It's no wonder people have been paying hundreds of dollars, if not more, to be able to see it all for themselves.
But if you're planning to see U2 before they leave Vegas in February 2024, there's something you need to know before you buy your tickets. One man has taken to TikTok to share a major flaw in the seating for the show, and depending on where you sit, you could end up having an experience that is totally different than what you expected (especially considering the high price you likely paid to be there).
Las Vegas local @casinocompwallet shared a video on Monday, October 23, outlining a major flaw in seeing a show at the Vegas Sphere that many people probably wouldn't have known about before seeing the U2 concert for themselves. At that point, it would be too late to do anything about it, but thanks to this advice, hopefully future concertgoers can save themselves the trouble (and maybe even a little money in the process).
The cool part of the Sphere is the fact that the show's visuals are all around you, even above you — in U2's case, it's the sky. But as the OP showed in his video, if you're sitting in the 100s section past row 20, your view will be blocked by an overhang that blocks part of the sky and doesn't allow you the full immersive experience.
Another bummer? This man is one of the people who got scammed with fake tickets earlier this month and missed out on the show, so luck really hasn't been on his side lately!
He ended up moving to an empty seat in the 200s section, but of course, not everyone will have that option, especially if they are at a sold out show.
One commenter pointed out that when you buy the tickets directly from Ticketmaster, they're marked "limited view of Sphere screen," but if you buy them from a third party, you may not see that warning before you purchase.
This is definitely something to keep in mind if you're hoping to catch U2 before their residency ends. What a bummer!
