Southwest Airlines Flight Attendant's Comical Pre-Flight Announcements Are the Best

It's been just over a month since Southwest Airlines' massive system failure fiasco, a disaster that frustrated and enraged Southwest's workers on the frontlines just as much as their affected customers. As the airline hobbles its way back to normalcy, the weary crews are finally relieving their frustrations- sometimes, via a good old-fashioned roasting sesh.

No one likes hearing the pre-flight announcement for the millionth time, and flight attendants get sick of it too. The attendant on vlogger @hollygolightlytiktok's Southwest flight coped by filling his announcement with jokes and zingers!

LOL! This guy was spilling the truth tea left and right! While Southwest's massive fiasco may have greatly shaken people's faith in the company, videos like this make it clear why people loved Southwest in the first place- for the incredible people they employ. Southwest's workers are skilled, dedicated, caring and- in cases like this one- freakin' hilarious!

We feel for this flight attendant: you can tell from the weariness in his voice that he's seen some serious you-know-what in the past month, and like everyone else, he's over it. Everyone's sick of the usual preflight announcement, passengers and crew alike- why not jazz it up with a roast of the cabin? After weeks of airline debacles, everyone needed a good laugh; and thankfully, he had a very receptive audience!

Apparently, Southwest attendants have a reputation for cracking wise during the preflight announcements. "In my last flight to PR the guy put on Dora to give us a motivational speech through the speaker," shared @asharruiz. "My favorite Southwest flight they said if you have more than one child, help the one with the most potential. So funny!" recalled @mrsmirrors. Good lord, they're gonna end up ticking off a testy passenger with burns like that one of these days, LOL!

Sometimes, Southwest attendants will go above and beyond just to bring even one person's day up. Viewer @honeycakelet shared a hilarious yet oddly touching flight story: "I was crying on my flight home after finding out my ldr ex was cheating and the Southwest attendant did a freestyle rap about landing in Oakland." As silly as this is, it shows how far this crew went to bring a smile to someone who really needed it.

Southwest's hilarious and hardworking crewmembers deserve better than they've had recently. If nothing else, we think this cabin-crew comedian needs a raise!
