Royal Caribbean Crew Member Gives a Tour of His Ship's Biggest Cabin and It's Radical

This is a kid's dream come true!

Most people go on cruises for the luxury amenities and a relaxing trip to various exciting destinations- not for the spacious staterooms. Even a nice cabin with a tub and a private balcony tends to be considerably more cramped than your average hotel room... that us, unless you've got some serious dough to spend.

Bryan James, a musician for Royal Caribbean, has seen a lot of his ship's staterooms, from tiny employee cabins like his to some of the fancier rooms for the top brass. However, on October 11, he finally capped things off with a tour of the mother of all cruise cabins: Wonder of the Seas' Ultimate Family Suite.

We've left the realm of typical cruise ship cabin and gone straight into "rich kid's house from a 90s family comedy" territory here. According to @bryanjamescruises, he believes the cabin isn't just the largest on Wonder of the Seas, but possibly one of the largest in the world. That actually isn't the case: there are several larger ones across various cruise companies. Still, with Cruisemapper putting this cabin's size at 1,350 square feet including the balcony, the Ultimate Family Suite is nothing to sneeze at!

As its ample size and name implies, this luxury suite is meant for big families, fitting up to eight individuals. All it takes is one look to know that it's a kid's dream come true. The slide to the first floor from the kid's room, programmable musical piano stairs, video games, a spacious balcony with a private hot tub, an on-call 24/7 butler, bright colors from floor to ceiling... again, this is 90s kid's movie material. Totally tubular!

This monster of a sweet stateroom eclipses poor Bryan's closet-sized crew member cabin 40 times over in size. It probably comes at no surprise that that size and luxury comes at a hefty price. Bryan estimates that this cabin goes for a whopping $30k a week, which tracks with example rates for this suite posted online.

In addition to Wonder of the Seas, this supreme suite is also available on two other Royal Caribbean ships: Spectrum of the Seas and Symphony of the Seas, all at comparable rates to the Wonder suite. How much would you be willing to throw down on the ultimate family cruise vacation?
