Sneak Peek of Disney's New Drone Show Is Full of Signature Magic

It starts today!

The Disney theme parks are always going above and beyond when it comes to entertainment, no matter what time of day it is, but I've always been partial to the nighttime entertainment. There's nothing like a good fireworks show, and yes, I deeply miss the Paint the Night parade at Disneyland! But if you're headed down to Florida this summer, you'll want to fill yourself in on this update about a new show that's coming to Disney Springs.

Starting today, May 24, a new drone show is debuting at Disney's shopping district, and it will blow you so far away that it's hard to believe you can see this without paying for a park ticket!

This week, @thatparklifepodcast shared footage from the new show as it lit up the sky over Disney Springs, and OMG — It's amazing.

The show is called Dreams That Soar, and just like Disney's other entertainment, it comes with its own soundtrack (of course). Thanks to drone technology, icons from different popular Disney movies appear in the sky, like the house from Up, Wall-E and Eve, and Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story

And of course, Tinkerbell is there, too, flying across the sky and leaving a trail of pixie dust behind her.

This is so cute, whether you're traveling with kids or you're a Disney fan who loves a healthy dose of nostalgia.

More About Dreams That Soar

If you're interested in seeing the new show, all you have to do is visit Disney Springs at night before September 2, when it ends. There are two showtimes each night: One at 9, and one at 10:45. The show lasts about 10 minutes, and sounds like the perfect way to cap off your Disney day (or dinner date).

Here's how Disney describes the show: "Imagine hundreds of state-of-the-art drones “dancing” across the sky, choreographed to a soaring musical score of iconic Disney music and memorable dialogue from beloved Disney movies."

A total of 800 drones are flying 400 feet in the world to create this show, and if you have a MagicBand+, it will light up in time to what's happening in the sky, which is a pretty cool use of the tech!

Disney advises that you watch the show from the West Side of Disney Springs, along the waterfront by Cirque de Soleil.

This is super cool and seems worth checking out if you're planning to be at Disney World this summer. Nothing like a little Disney magic!
