London Pub Mentioned in Taylor Swift's New Song Gains Instant Overnight Fame

The lyrics are already posted outside of the pub.

It's barely been three days since Taylor Swift's latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, came out, and it's safe to say that I am officially obsessed — and considering the streaming numbers the album has already received, I am not the only one! The surprise album, The Anthology, that she released two hours later is also on repeat around here, and one of my favorite songs is "The Black Dog." Yes, it's an absolutely heartbreaking song about trying (and failing) to move on after the end of a relationship.... but that's why I love it.

And apparently, enough people love it too that they've totally flooded the pub that fans believe is named in the song: an actual bar called The Black Dog in London that now seems to be getting more business than they know what to do with.

As the official TikTok account for the bar, @theblackdogvauxhall, shared in a video on Saturday, April 20 — less than 48 hours since the new album was released — The Black Dog is absolutely packed with Swifties.

The bar is definitely capitalizing off of this moment, too; they have already put up a chalkboard that has lyrics from the song on it. Can't blame them for that; this is their moment to shine!

In another video, they also confirmed that they will be selling merch for the pub, just in case any fans want to have it as a nod to the song, which many people have already declared as their favorite.

If you're planning to visit London, England anytime soon, stopping in might be worth it...

Visiting The Black Dog

For those hoping to visit The Black Dog in person, it's located on Spring Gardens, Vauxhall, and it looks like a pretty neat place to check out — whether you're a big fan of Taylor's new album or not.

Not only is it a gorgeous spot, but it also has a pretty impressive menu. There are plenty of options when it comes to beer and wine (no surprise there, since this is a pub we're talking about) but there's also a pretty sweet food menu.

There are both hot and cold tapas, along with larger entrees if you come hungry, and on Sundays, they offer a traditional roast special. Don't forget to try the Black Dog Lager!

Now, if they'd only start hosting a Taylor Swift brunch on the weekends...
