Woman Shows Off the Infamous 'Face in the Chimney' at Haunted 'Lizzie Borden House'

It really does look like a face.

Out of all of the haunted places across the United States, it's hard to top the ones where actual murders happened. One of the most famous of these is the Lizzie Borden House in Fall River, Massachusetts — the home where Andrew and Abby Borden were killed in 1892, a murder that still remains unsolved (though many believe that their daughter, Lizzie, is the culprit). Today, the home serves as a B&B and museum, and those who have been there have plenty of stories of paranormal activity they say they've witnessed there.

One of the stories that gets passed around most often is about those who see a face in the chimney, which is just as creepy as it sounds. And thanks to someone who once worked there, @creepycaitlin, we can see the footage of the face ourselves.

Over a clip of the outside of the house, she wrote, "Working at the Lizzie Borden House thinking everyone is just being dramatic about the haunting."

Then, she showed a clip of the face in the chimney... and yep, we can definitely see it! Whether it's just an optical illusion made more obvious by the powerful suggestion or proof that the house is actually haunted is still up for debate, though.

One commenter who had stayed in the house wasn't convinced, but another definitely was. They wrote, "Stayed there once and heard children running around upstairs throughout the bedrooms... no one, especially children, were up there."

Writing a comment of her own, the OP added, "So much crazy stuff happened when I worked there! I didn’t believe it either — I still don’t know if I believe in ghosts but the energy is off."

The only way to know for sure is to check it out yourself, and you can book a tour or a night in the B&B here. It's going to require nerves of steel, though...
