Southwest Airlines Goes Above and Beyond to Return Stuffed Dog to Little Girl
Lately, it seems like we are constantly hearing about rude people in the world on social media apps like TikTok and Twitter — especially during this time of year. As important as showing kindness is, it's something that plenty of people forget to do when they're traveling. But knowing how rough it can be out there really does make the heartwarming moments that much more special.
We really feel for the way that a lot of flight attendants and airline workers are treated by cranky, stressed out travelers, but some of them still go above and beyond to give their customers the best experience possible. And after seeing this Facebook post from Southwest Airlines about what happened when a little girl lost her stuffed dog while traveling, our faith in humanity has officially been restored.
According to Southwest Airlines' Facebook post, a mom named Jessica was traveling with her daughter, Luna, when Luna left her precious plush, Dog Dog, in a rental car. After returning home from their trip to Dallas, Jessica reported the toy missing to a Southwest Ops Agent named Christina. After hearing about the situation, Christina went out of her way to not only go rescue Dog Dog from the rental company, but also keep him safe for Luna, taking photos of what he was up to while they were separated.
By the time Luna returned to Dallas and was reunited with her missing pooch, Christina presented her with a photo album of Dog Dog's adventures, which included hanging out on the tarmac, sipping sparkling water on a plane, and even reading the flight safety manual!
Losing a beloved toy like this can be so devastating to a child, but now, instead of this being a sad memory, it will be a magical one for Luna that we're sure she'll remember forever.
This story is the perfect reminder of how a little kindness goes a long way. Give this agent a raise!
