Funny Video About the 3 Levels of Economy on Flights Is Too Accurate
Most of us generally speak about flying in economy as this catch-all, unglamorous experience. However, deep down the people who actually fly in economy frequently know that not every economy trip is the same.
A video recently shared by @travelandleisuremag makes this point plain. As the video humorously shows, even economy seating can be divided into "levels."
Oh, that's so true. That first example is exactly why I will not choose an middle seat unless it is literally the only option left. I might be a cheapskate myself, but you won't catch me flying in the "economy" of economy! But of course, the tip-top, "first-class" economy experience is when you get the whole entire row all to yourself. With how packed out most flights have been lately, though, when's the last time you've been that lucky?
I thought this video was interesting, because I have my own slightly different definition of the three "classes" of economy. The bottom tier is pretty close to this video's bottom tier: cramped and near the back, especially if it's in a middle seat. My middle tier, however, is those seats you get next to the bulkheads or the exits. Some people feel weird about those spots, especially in the exit rows, but that extra foot room you get? That can't be beat, especially on a long flight. And finally, my "first-class" is the actual premium economy that you pay extra for. I'm personally not above shelling out extra bucks for premium economy seating whenever it's in my budget. Who needs an uncomfortable plane ride!
It seems like there's more than one way to break down the different "levels" of economy seating. One things for sure, though- even if you're only working with a coach budget, you never wanna find yourself stuck in coach's coach!
