Italian Mom's Emotional Reunion with Daughter in the U.S. Is a Tear-Jerker
Traveling for leisure is a lot of fun, but it's not the only reason we travel. Sometimes, it's to finally reunite with the people we love after a long time apart. There's something really special about finally being able to hug someone after not being able to for so long... and watching these moments play out for other people is so sweet, too.
If you feel the same way, you may want to have the tissues ready before you watch this TikTok video shared by @saarahprivv. She's from Italy and has been living in the US as an exchange student, and her mom was finally able to visit her after nearly a year apart.
According to her caption, this high schooler has been living with a host family in Wisconsin to find out what it's like to be a teenager in America, all leading up to her graduation. We don't know a mom out there who would miss her daughter's graduation, so of course, hers got on a plane from Italy and flew overseas to be there to cheer her little girl on after they'd been separated for nine months!
In the video, we get to see the moment they reunite in the airport, and it's full of emotion! We can tell that they both really needed that hug!
It's hard to be separated from anyone you love for that long, but for a mother and a daughter, we can only imagine that this has been a tough time!
How sweet that her mom gets to witness her special day — and to meet her host family and see where she's been living for the school year. There's no doubt they'll enjoy this time together!
