Couple's 'Instagram vs. Reality' Honeymoon Video Couldn't Be More Spot-On
While scrolling through our Instagram feeds, it's easy to think that everyone else has a better, more glamorous, more fun life than we do — especially when they're posting from their fancy tropical vacation. It's easy to forget that most people are just showing us the highlight reels of their lives, while we have a front row seat to the good, the bad, and the ugly of our own. But the reality of the situation is that even the nicest vacations can come with a lot of ups and downs, because travel isn't always easy and fun!
And yes, that includes honeymoons in the Maldives, too — at least, it did for this couple on TikTok. In a video shared by @ga_degenerate, we get a peek at the Instagram vs. Reality comparison for what they posted online vs. what really happened, and it's too funny.
The video starts off looking rather idyllic; this couple is riding their bikes down a bridge, surrounded by beautiful blue water, lush vegetation, and huts positioned over the water.
But what really ended up happening? While biking in this tropical paradise, the husband actually lost his balance on his bike and ended up falling off of the bridge and into the water with his bike... and his new wife leaning over the side of the bridge, laughing (not that we blame her).
Clearly, this part is not ideal, but it is funny. And it's going to be one of the things they probably remember and talk about most from their honeymoon for years to come!
