Tennessee Resort Unveils the World's First Immersive Lazy River Experience

That tunnel looks amazing!

Waterparks can be so much fun, but during the winter months, it's not exactly ideal to run from water slide to water slide in the freezing cold weather... and indoor waterparks can be really hard to find, depending on where you live (and where you plan on vacationing). But in certain tourist destinations around the United States, these types of parks are becoming more common... and a lot cooler, if this place is any indication.

The world's first immersive lazy river experience is officially here, and if you're headed to Tennessee anytime soon, you might want to make plans to check it out after seeing this TikTok video. This place looks totally unreal — and like a blast for both kids and adults.

Recently, @theeverywherefamily shared a peek at Wild WaterDome, located in Sevierville, Tennessee. Not only does it have all of the traditional features you'd expect in a completely indoor waterpark, but this cool attraction nestled in the Smoky Mountains is also home to a lazy river like I've never seen before. You might be familiar with waterparks like at Great Wolf Lodge, but this is something totally different!

As someone who doesn't love water slides (I know, I know), lazy rivers are the real reason I go to waterparks — aside from keeping my toddler happy, of course. It's nice to just float and relax, and that is truly taken to the next level in this immersive experience.

As we can see in the footage here, visitors travel through Kaleidoscope Kavern, a mirrored dome with awesome lighting, as they float along in the water. So cool!

What To Know Before Visiting

Wild WaterDome is actually located at the River Lodge, and judging by the photos on the park's website, the lazy river really does make it look like you're traveling through a kaleidoscope.

The park also recently opened the Ridge Runner Water Coaster, which looks like so much fun for thrill-seekers. It seems like there really is something for everyone here, between the wave pool, the surf rider, a raft ride, and even a splash playground for the little ones.

You don't have to stay at the lodge to use the waterpark, either. Day passes are available for $49 per person, and children under the age of three get in free.

If you're planning a Tennessee getaway, this looks like it's worth checking out... even for that lazy river alone!
