Frontier Airlines Flight Attendant Throws Special Surprise for a Very Young Graduate
Graduations are big milestone ceremonies in a person's life- not just college and high school graduations, but at every stage of a young person's schooling. You technically don't need to walk across a stage to earn your diploma (or move up to the next level), but it's a big celebratory moment that's worth celebrating!
Unfortunately, young Xavier Joel was traveling on the day of his kindergarten graduation, and couldn't attend the ceremony with his friends. Luckily, though, his parents and a friendly Frontier Airlines attendant had a special surprise up their sleeves!
An airplane cabin aisle might not be the same thing as a graduation stage, but with a cap & gown and a big audience to cheer you on, it ain't too far off! Passenger Laci Alvarez (@alldayloveme on TikTok) filmed as a flight attendant introduced Xavier to the cabin, thanked him for flying Frontier Airlines, and piped "Pomp and Circumstance" over the speakers as Xavier walked with his mom in his very own graduation ceremony, beaming all the way!
Xavier was absolutely cheesing as the cabin applauded his big moment, but unbeknownst to the young graduate, he had an even larger crowd cheering for him on TikTok.
"Who else can say their graduation took place 40K feet up in the air!?! That's unforgettable for sure!!! Way to go buddy!" @danikmax24 exclaimed.
"Why am I ALWAYS crying over complete strangers on this app??? Happy graduation buddy!" @kariclhn applauded.
"As a teacher, I cried immediately," said @merbabe_emily. "I’m sure he’ll remember this forever."
Flight Attendants Making Amazing Memories
Flight attendants as a whole are already pretty incredible in their own right. They pull long hours working to ensure the safety of all their passengers- even the rude ones who mistake them for glorified waitstaff.
That's already a superhero's job, and yet there are attendants who go even further to make the experience truly special for their passengers, especially the littlest ones. Those attendants work wonders by making travel a magical, joyful experience for young kids- as evidenced here by Xavier's ear-to-ear grin.
"When my daughter was 4, we took her to Disneyland," @kapuahone reminisced. "She had never flown before that. I let the flight attendant know. To my surprise, when we took off, she announced that it was my daughter’s first trip to DL, and everyone clapped."
Sometimes a cabin crew will even cook up a surprise for their very youngest passengers and their families. In February 2020, People Magazine reported on a surprise sky-high baby shower thrown by a crew of Southwest Airlines flight attendants!
Dustin and Caren Moore were flying home to California with their adopted eight-day-old infant when their flight attendants caught wind of their story. One thing led to another, and soon, the Southwest attendants relayed the couple's good news to the cabin. After a healthy round of applause, the attendants encouraged the passengers to write words of encouragement or advice for the young parents on their napkins. By the end of the flight, the Moores had 60 napkins worth of uplifting wisdom to bolster them on their parenting journey- all thanks to their flight's crew!
Great flight attendants can elevate an otherwise mundane flight into a truly unforgettable experience- just look at Xavier Joel's graduation in the sky! Graduation ceremonies will come and go, but memories like this one will last forever.
