Florida Black Bear Mischievously Steals Family’s Uber Eats Order
Have you ever had a food delivery order that just... never showed up on your doorstep? Before you get angry and report your delivery driver (or cast aspersions on your nosy neighbors), take a second to check your doorbell camera if you have one. There might just be a third possible culprit at play!
For example, this poor Floridian family just wanted an easy night in with a delivered dinner. Before they could step outside to grab their food, however, a bear beat them to the punch!
LOL! Gotta move faster than that! While the doorbell camera footage shared by @abc7la tells a sad story on behalf of this dinner-deprived family, you can't deny that it's pretty funny.
No sooner had the Uber Eats driver dropped off the Taco Bell haul and left than a hungry black bear rounded the corner- almost as if it had been waiting for that exact moment. It snatched up the bag and left, happy with its haul. Seconds later, the family emerged- obviously bewildered by the mysterious disappearance of their food.
But at least it left the sodas... right? Unfortunately, not even the sodas were spared. Though the soda-snatching wasn't shown in the clip, the sudden appearance of a suspicious trail of liquid leading down their sidewalk gave the truth away. One of the family members, Nicole Castro, confirmed this when talking about the bear's food-napping with Fox 35 Orlando: "He came, and he grabbed the food– then he came again for the soda."
Luckily, everybody in this story gets a happy ending. The black bear, of course, enjoyed a successful food heist. As for the family the aforementioned Fox 35 Orlando article claims that Uber Eats refunded them for the pilfered order, even though it was technically delivered successfully. Still, after this close encounter with the "furred" kind, the family plans to take a raincheck on ordering delivery for a while!
