Woman Shares the Odd Reality of Living in the 'Emily in Paris' Building in France
If you're a fan of Emily in Paris, the series starring Lily Collins as Emily, a twenty-something who takes on a new adventure in the City of Love while working at a PR firm, you know that it can be a bit polarizing. People either absolutely love it or they hate it, but no matter how you feel about it, you have to admit that it is pretty to look at. All of those scenes of France, the glitz and glamour of Paris... it gives us plenty of ideas of where we want to visit next time we hop across the pond!
Even the filming locations from the series that don't happen to be landmarks have become popular destinations for fans to flock to when they happen to be in town. But real people actually live in the apartment building that serves as Emily's home in the show, and as one resident on TikTok, @andradainparis, says, it's not all it's cracked up to be.
The woman shared something weird that happened as she was leaving her apartment that morning. When she was on her way out the door, someone asked her what she was doing there, and when she said she lived there, they didn't believe her!
In fact, the man thought that she was a fan who found her way in, and it took a lot of convincing to get him to believe otherwise. He did apologize, but understandably, the OP was frustrated.
That being said, we're still jealous of her living arrangements. In the other videos she's posted from her flat, it looks like she's having a totally idyllic experience, just like Emily did.
If you want to see it for yourself, Emily's apartment can be found at Paris' Place de l'Estrapade, but be sure to be respectful of the residents (and obviously, don't go inside). This is home to real people, not just a fictional character from a Netflix show!
