Woman's Video Showing the Reality of East Coast Hiking Couldn't Be More Spot-On

Between the scorching heat of summer and the chilly climes of winter, autumn is one of the best times of year in America to get in some gorgeous hikes- especially on the East Coast! Though East Coast hiking paths often get overshadowed by some of the incredible trails and parks out West, there are some truly wonderful trails up and down the Atlantic seaboard.

Andrea Jean posts on TikTok under the name @bigb1tchrunningclub- and with a handle like that, you know she gets passionate about her hikes. With this video, she proves that the East Coast can offers some stunning hikes.

Now that is a view we could fall in love with- the mountains surrounding her on all sides and the glittering lake seem pulled out of a picture book! And exactly where on the East Coast is this? This is the Chimney Pond Trail which leads its hikers to a beautiful spot right between the peaks of Mt. Katahdin and Hamlin Peak in Maine.

To those familiar with Maine, though, this is no surprise- it's a beautiful state full of forests, lakes, mountains and yes, excellent hiking paths. "As a Mainer hiking in Maine will leave you breathless... both physically and figuratively," agreed @parttimepunks. "OMG as a Maine resident hiking is like my fav thing to do here," chimed in

East Coast defenders flocked to the comments, singing the beauties of the eastern states. "New Hampshire and Maine have landscapes very similar to the PNW it’s just a fact! And Vermont is breathtaking," added @a_moss. "Its like they forget one of the oldest mountain ranges in the world is on the East Coast," @kiddosquido quipped. "Nothing beats the ancient and comforting beauty of the Smokies," said @julsoutside- even as far south as the Carolinas and Georgia, the East Coast boasts some stunning mountain ranges.

At the end of the day, though, there doesn't need to be a competition from either side. America is a massive nation that's diverse in every respect, especially ecologically, and no matter what region of the country you are, natural wonders abound if you're willing to look for them.
