Disney Fan Plans Out The Ultimate Adults-Only Disney World Guide
Disney World has long been regarded as something of a paradise for children, and it's inarguable that the primary target demographic for the resort is families with children. However, a growing contingent of childfree adults have been opting for adults-only Disney vacations to let their inner child loose.
The question is, what's the best way to experience Disney World on an adults-only adventure? While it's a complex trip for anyone to plan, I thought @theshayspence's ultimate adult Disney World guide covered all the important bases.
I was seriously impressed by the level of care and detail Shay put into this guide. You can tell that this is a subject he's seriously invested in, and had he not been limited by time, he would have had lots more to say. When planning something as big as a Disney World vacation, even without a whole family in tow, it's tough to sum up the salient points quickly. However, Shay nailed it with his guide!
I really appreciate his focus on picking the right resort. It can be tricky finding the right balance between Disney resorts that are obnoxious and kiddie, and the ones that will just straight-up break the bank. But Shay had several good compromises on deck. His primary focus, the Swan and Dolphin, was not only somewhat cheaper than other deluxe resorts, but also puts you within strategic easy walking distance of both Epcot's International Pavillion and the bar-laden Boardwalk!
Shay's ideal Disney guide isn't the most low-budget- though it's not the priciest either- but every extra expense he includes makes sense. If it's just you and maybe one or two others, why not spring for Genie+ and cut the lines? After Hours tickets or stays at resorts with extended-hours perks may cost more, but they translate to extra hours in the park without crowds of families. I think he struck the right balance of investing in one's optimal vacation without getting too extravagant!
While the "Ultimate" adults-only Disney World trip is subjective to each individual's personal tastes, I personally felt like Shay's comprehensive guide set the groundwork for a great grownup adventure in the "Most Magical Place on Earth!"
