Denver Meterologist’s Weekend Snow Prediction Is Great News for Skiers

Time to hit the slopes!

It's been a blustery week throughout the United States, and not everyone is psyched about shoveling their walkways in the cold, windy weather. However, while Americans in some states are currently in the process of digging themselves out from underneath heavy snowdrifts (looking at you, Great Lakes region), others are psyched to see more snow on the forecast.

Seasonal snows have already been falling over Colorado for weeks, but things are starting to look extra-exciting for Colorado skiers over the next few days. On November 29, Denver meteorologist Kylie Bearse delivered a very favorable forecast for winter sports lovers in Colorado!

It's shaping up to be an exciting weather week over the Rocky Mountain State, as @kyliebearse highlighted two snowy weather systems coming in over the next few days. The first one starts tomorrow night and should last through Friday, which will be quickly followed up by a second round of even heavier snow over the weekend! Better start getting those skis ready...

These weather systems are great news for skiers and snowboarders across Colorado, as many of Colorado's most popular winter resort areas are expected to get heavy deposits of snow. Bearse predicts over a foot of snowfall over ski resort hubs like Aspen, Vail, and Steamboat Springs!

These mountain towns may be expecting some heavy snow, but things will likely be a lot milder in the Mile-High City. Most of the heavy snowfall is expected to miss Denver, although Bearse points out that there's a couple chances for some light snow on Friday afternoon and evening, as well as Saturday night into Sunday. The Colorado capital will see a dip in temps over this week, though, so dress accordingly if you're in town.

Even as things stay relatively calm in Denver, Colorado's best ski resort spots will be fluffy and piled high with fresh powder, ready for skiers to rip down those newly-blanketed slopes. Pack up your gear and grab that lift ticket, because ski season is definitely here!
