There are few things in life that are better than that feeling you get on the first day of vacation. A few days off of work are ahead of you to have fun and relax, and you get to check out somewhere brand new for the first time (or return to a place where you already have plenty of happy memories made). And when you're on a cruise, that first day means exploring the ship and checking things out.
And that first glimpse of your cabin after boarding is definitely up there on our list of top favorite moments. If you've felt that kind of excitement before, this TikTok video from @cruisingforall is going to make you feel seen.
We don't know how they managed to bottle that feeling and put it into a TikTok video, but we're glad they did! Set to Meghan Trainor's song, "Made You Look" (which is everywhere on the app right now), they shared footage of a hallway on the ship. "That feeling of excitement when you are trying to find your cruise cabin for the first time!" they wrote.
Yep, that's exactly what it feels like — as they described in their caption, the word for it definitely has to be "giddy." Seeing your stateroom for the first time, settling in, thinking of all the days of fun in your future... there really is nothing like it.
Fellow cruise lovers in the comments of the video certainly seemed to agree... and others had a bit of a different take on things.
"Could also be that feeling you have when you’ve been drinking all day and trying to remember which cabin you are in," one person joked.
That happens, too, especially for those of us who buy those unlimited beverage packages. Hey, it's vacation — and now, we are really tempted to book a cruise.
