Frequent Cruiser Makes the Case for Why 'Carnival' Is One of the Best
Different cruise lines each have their own reputations among the fans who have tried them out before — and it's not all good. While Carnival cruises have been known for having a family-friendly atmosphere and low prices, that can make some people shy away from using the cruise line if they're looking for a more adult, upscale experience. But this TikTok video may change the way we think about the brand.
In a video, one frequent cruiser @pparkave21 responded to someone who made it sound like Carnival was a major downgrade after taking a Disney cruise. She wanted to defend Carnival, and honestly, she made a lot of important points in her argument.
And considering the fact that she says she's cruised 18 times across several different lines, we think her opinion definitely holds some weight here. According to her, people who have a bad opinion of Carnival are forgetting that they are paying so much less than they would to cruise with any other line — and that they probably aren't booking the line's newer ships, which are totally different from the older vessels that have been around for a long time.
First, she pointed out the downsides to other cruise lines that get all the love — like all the kids on the Disney ships and how expensive they are, and the tiny portions of food on the Virgin ships.
"The food is excellent, the service is great, and it's still a good time," she said of her recent cruises with Carnival's newer ships. "And it's still a third of the price. So don't compare unless you're gonna compare!"
Fair enough. If you've written Carnival off, it might be time to try out a newer ship. Who knows? It could end up being your favorite!
