'Vintage Caravan' Hotel in Germany Is a Total RV Lover's Dream
Recreational vehicles can serve as the proverbial gateways to easy travel, comfortable camping, and a free-wheeling nomadic lifestyle for many travelers. Even if they're not the most glamorous of accommodations, they're quirky and adventurous. Sadly though, between the high up-front cost and pricy upkeep, an RV isn't an investment that everyone can afford.
However, we've found a compromise: a quirky, kitschy place where curious travelers can experience a taste of the recreational vehicle lifestyle without making a full-time commitment. In an October 5 video, one popular hotel guide explored a curious "vintage caravan" hotel in Berlin, Germany that's a total dream for retro RV lovers!
What a cool place to dip your toes into the RV lifestyle without making a huge down payment! You don't even have to worry about dangerous weather or faulty utility hookups here, either, because this "caravan park" is totally indoors!
As brought to us by @epic.stays, this is Hüttenpalast (or "Hut Palace" in English) in Berlin, Germany. Sheltered from rain, wind, sleet, and snow, guests can enjoy a unique "campout" in one of this hotel's many caravans, all of which are real vintage caravans that have been refurbished and upcycled. If the RV lifestyle doesn't exactly sing to you, Hüttenpalast also boasts a set of cozy themed cabins that bring the vibe of the great outdoors, indoors!
According to Hüttenpalast's website, their caravans and cabins are split between two main halls. As this is meant to (at least somewhat) simulate the camping experience, there aren't any private bathroom or kitchen facilities. Instead, the halls are equipped with modern shared bathrooms, and hungry guests can enjoy breakfast and lunch in the James Daybar at the front of the hotel. Don't worry, though- this "campground" does include wifi!
