California Local Shares Must-See Travel Spots for Fall and We're Packing Our Bags

Fall is finally approaching (thank goodness) and we're already ready for it to start cooling down and for the fall colors to start coming in. Many people choose this time to vacation, since the weather is less harsh and it's the off-season for a lot of places.

If you've been thinking of checking out California this fall, there are a lot of sights to see, and trying to choose between them all can get overwhelming fast! Luckily, a little insider information from the locals can help tip you off on the sweet spots. Jessica Wright, posting on TikTok as @bontraveler, is one such local, and she's compiled a quick montage of some of her Cali fall faves.

Some of these are pretty popular choices- I mean, we've all heard of Yosemite National Park. Others though, like Apple Hill and Carmel Valley were new to us, and they look absolutely charming! We feel like you could visit those spots and not have to worry about them being crowded with tourists. These looks like some very intriguing picks!

People joined the comments both to praise her selections and add recommendations of their own. "Its coming up on Apple Hill excursions for sure! The blackberry tarts..." reminisced @boomboom1219. Yum, don't tempt us. "Carmel Valley is the BEST! the village is so cute and has amazing restaurants and wine spots and hikes!" affirmed @hollyenchanted. "Tahoe is lovely in the Fall," recommended @solsue00. Ooh, we can imagine!

Some even recommended must-see events, like @anitaprice2: "Three Speckled Hens Show, Paso Robles, CA. Sept 23 - 25. Kicks off the Autumn Season and brings all the Fall Feels.🧡🧡🧡" That's coming up soon!

We're feeling inspired by this video and these recommendations. How do you plan on celebrating fall this year?
