Travel Blogger Shares Hack for Flying Business Class on the Cheap

In a perfect world, we would all be flying in business class, at minimum- especially for international flights. But how many of you have clicked over from the economy option to the business class option, only to see your projected price double, triple, or even quadruple in cost? Guess it's another economy flight for you once again.

But what if you could score an upgrade to business class without dropping quite as much money? Travel vlogger @whimsysoul shares her special airline booking hack that few people know about.

This was seriously big news to us. It's not a surefire win- after all, it's a bid, not a buy. But if you can potentially handle a economy seat if your bid falls through, this could be your chance to score a way better seat on the cheap- and because evidently so few people know about this, your odds are good!

Bear in mind though, your initial ticket cost doesn't dramatically drop down to your lowest bid number. "Ok so your economy price + upgrade cost of 540," @naydgetherage clarified. Even so, as long as you bid low, you'll still likely spend way less than you would buying a business class ticket out right!

"Omg this worked for Fiji airways flight from LAX to Fiji," said @glamitupby_filza. "SAS does this and it was only about $280 for my recent flight from Copenhagen to Los Angeles!" shared @mara_stara. "It works. Last year got a $200 first class upgrade on Aer Lingus. Game changer" bragged @backchannelnan.

Not every airline offers this option- it definitely seems like international airlines are way more likely to offer it than domestic companies- but Google it before you fly to see if yours does. It may come in the clutch for you as it has for others. We know we're doing this for every flight going forward!
