Bethenny Frankel's Honest Review of Mykonos Is Creating Quite a Buzz

Among its many claims to fame, Greece is renowned for having many beautiful islands which attract flocks of tourists every year from around the world. Perhaps the most well-known of these islands is Mykonos. With its bustling nightlife, plenty of clubs and beaches, and its LGBT-friendly community, Mykonos has a particularly strong draw with international tourists, especially during the summer months when university students vacation abroad.

You can't please everyone, though- you'll always have some critics, and among those is entrepeneur and former Real Housewife Bethenny Frankel. To say that she was displeased with her trip to Mykonos is, to put it lightly, an understatement. She posted her rant on her @bethennyfrankel TikTok account, and boy was she heated!

It sounds like Mykonos puts on more of a party than Bethenny was prepared for! We can kinda get where she's coming from, though. Mykonos has become something of a tourist trap and tends to draw a younger, more raucous crowd. If you're not up for booze-fueled late night ragers, Mykonos might not be the best spot for you.

Luckily, Greek viewers chimed in to suggest alternative options. "Greek here 🙋‍♀️There are way more beautiful islands to visit and more appealing for tourists than Mykonos," agreed @teacher_mom. "Greek here. The islands in the Ionian Sea are authentic, laid back and awesome. Kefalonia, Corfu, Lefkada," suggested @paddleboard_adventures.

"You went to Mykonos! The party island if you want to relax you got to Paros lol you needed to do more research!" chided @xhristinee. You gotta know before you go! Because look, there's nothing wrong with going somewhere because you love to party and enjoy a bumpin' nightlife. Just be sure to know what you're in for! It sounds like a little previous research could have saved many overwhelmed visitors just like Bethenny a lot of hassle. In the meantime, we'll be sure to look into some of Greece's lesser-known islands to see what hidden gems we can find!
