Video of Bachelorette Party Having a ‘Crisis’ Over Giant Dinner Bill Is All Too Real

That looked traumatic!

Bachelorette parties are a time to cut loose and get crazy with your girlfriends, and sometimes, that means spending a little extra to get your party on. Whether it's buying a night's worth of drinks at the club, going on a pricey excursion, or going out to a swanky restaurant, sometimes it's worth it to splurge to have a memorable bachelorette bash.

But regret always tends to follow the big spend, especially if you weren't ready to discover how much money you actually dropped. Bride-to-be Cheslea Bay and her bachelorette party had a collective crisis when the bill for their high-end dinner bill came due- and oof, did this one hit a little too close to home.

Look, I'm just going to say it: $670 for a bachelorette party at Nobu Malibu is not that bad. If you're not aware, Nobu is an ultra-high-end sushi restaurant franchise, helmed by Iron Chef Nobu Matsuhisa. A party of, oh, let's say, 4-5 people could easily drop more than $1,000 at a Nobu location. If anything, @chelseabay and her bachelorette party probably showed incredible restraint here- but it was still hard to reconcile that when the $670 bill came due!

Even though they saw this big bill coming, it was honestly hilarious watching the partygoers try to calculate their $100+ portions of the bill, "for FOUR pieces of fish." By far, though, the funniest part was her poor mother, hand on her head, staring off into the middle distance. Those shellshocked eyes...

The High Price of 'Girl Dinners'

Chelsea's video was all in good fun, but like me, her followers were amazed that she was able to keep the bill as relatively low as she did.

"We spent $600. For two of us. I had your mom's reaction. Except we were in Vegas so I don't remember ordering or eating anything," said @redbottomsblondie.

Still, sometimes that doesn't hit home when you're a shellshocked mom watching your kid be a big spender. Others in the comments could relate to times they'd traumatized their own parents by racking up massive restaurant bills - or watched their parents rack up big bills all on their own.

"Hahahaha the DRAMA! My mom and I once had Sunday brunch at the Polo Lounge and we forgot the mimosa refills weren't included in the set price lmao. Like 7 years ago. She's still stressed to this day," @gracelbc related.

"My daughter was at a bachelorette party in Nashville and it cost $1,200 minimum to sit at a table in Dolly Parton's restaurant," said @pappag019.

Of course, viewer @txforever0 had a feeling that there was a compounding factor to her mom's shock and horror: "Mom's reaction is because she most likely is already paying a ton of $ for the wedding."

"Pretty much," Chelsea confirmed. "She has been very lovely and generous." Aww...

Listen, excited brides-to-be: if your mom is joining your bachelorette party, even if she knows you have the money to spare, let her know gently what to expect before you ring up a scary-looking bill. No one wants their mom to snap right before the wedding!
