I've wanted to be a writer since I was in second grade. My dad helped me design and build a customized, large writing desk, which was made from an old door and covered in wallpaper. The empty door knob hole was perfect for running wires from my desk lamp to the outlet. We sat it across two sets of beautiful, hand-stained and finished drawers.

After spending years writing thousands of newspaper articles and magazine articles, I fulfilled my lifelong dream of writing a book on coping with serious illness that was published in 2001 and a companion set of books on grandparents released in 2007.

My other passion is travel. From the time I was a young girl, I dreamed of visiting far away lands. I absolutely adore sharing my lovel of travel with others. Since 2004, I have owned my own travel company, Unforgettable Trips, and now get to share my passion with others.

Other interests include: spending time with my husband and two sons, photography, fishing, boating, and scuba diving. I also love reading all types of books.

I have a Bachelors of Arts in English with a concentration in literature and writing.
