Linda Crampton

I have a first-class honours degree in biology from Simon Fraser University in Canada. After I obtained my degree, I completed the Professional Development Program in the Faculty of Education at SFU. As a result, I was awarded a professional teaching certificate from the British Columbia Ministry of Education.

I taught high school biology, chemistry, and science for many years. I’ve also taught other subjects, including information technology and middle school science. I'm primarily a science writer today, though I write about other topics as well.

My articles often discuss biology, nature, and the scientific basis of health and disease. I find the latest research in science and medicine fascinating and often exciting to investigate. Writing about these subjects is a very interesting process.

Pets have been an important part of my life since childhood. I enjoy writing about animals commonly kept as pets and discussing their care based on my experience and research. I also enjoy writing articles related to my other interests, which include creating and listening to music, reading fiction and nonfiction, creative writing, and examining works of art.

I have also written a few articles about life in the United Kingdom. I was born in the UK and spent my childhood and part of my teens there. Canada is a great country with many attractions, but I still think fondly of the UK of my past and my relatives there. I have been able to visit the country since my departure. I now rely on technology and software to explore the areas that I knew and the rest of the UK.
